A lovely, savoury and easy to make refreshing drink. Now that I have the inspiring photo I was shooting for, I am pleased to share this recipe with you.
Lemon thyme enhances all sorts of recipes and is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.
Fresh lemon thyme water drink
Only fill half the jug if you wish to add ice cubes for a very cool drink.
- 2 organic lemons
- 8 sprigs of fresh lemon thyme
- 700 ml l water
- Step 1 Brush your lemons, thinly slice them, and remove some seeds if there are too many. Insert these thin slices in a jug, preferably clear, and add the rinsed lemon thyme sprigs.
- Step 2 Let it sit one hour at a cool temperature and serve. Once the jug is empty, add more water, and wait another hour before serving. You will keep this nice lemonade taste for the next 24 hours. After that, you can use the lemons and lemon thyme sprigs to add a nice flavor to a fish dish.
